Welcome to The Municipal Authority of the Borough of Edgeworth
(Herein referred to as Edgeworth Water Authority)
The Municipal Authority of the Borough of Edgeworth is committed to providing its customers with a safe, high quality, reliable water supply that meets or exceeds all applicable Local, State and Federal regulations in a cost effective and efficient manner. Imperative to these commitments are the safety of our employees and the communities we serve, courteous professional service and convenience for our customers, and the fiscal integrity of the authority.
Edgeworth Water Authority was created by the Council of the Borough of Edgeworth on September 10, 1956. We furnish water service to a general service area including the Boroughs of Edgeworth, Leetsdale, Bell Acres and Leet Township.
In order to provide more reliable and effective communications with our customers, Edgeworth Water Authority implemented an Emergency Notification System. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection requires the Authority to provide emergency notification in the event of water emergencies known as Tier 1 Emergencies.
It is important that residents and business owners within the Edgeworth Water service area provide the most up to date emergency contact information, including numbers that may be unlisted telephone numbers or cell phone numbers. All calls sent to customers will have the caller number 412-259-9977. Please put this number into your contacts so that you do not miss any important information. Your safety and privacy are our highest concern. The information you provide is NEVER shared or sold to any outside agencies or companies.
